At the anniversary of the explosion at the ChNPP the Assembly of funders of the Nuclear Safety Account of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, as well as the Conference for additional funds collection will be held in Kiev on April 25. And on Аpril 26 the participants of the event will be delivered to Chernobyl.
In addition, the implementation plan to the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, which is now supported by the government, also includes social security and medical support for people affected by the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The plan also includes proposals of regional administrations, ministries, departments and public organizations. As known, the given account is used by the EBRD to finance the construction of nuclear protection facilities in the zone of the Chernobyl accident, including the shelter over the exploded reactor.
The Ministry of Environment hopes that until 26 April the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will sign a decree on the establishment of the conservancy in Chernobyl.
It should be recalled that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has declared 2016 the year of honoring liquidators of the accident at Chernobyl NPP and the memory of victims of the Chernobyl disaster.
It should be noted that an accident at the Chernobyl NPP (ChNPP) occurred on April 26, 1986. November 10, 2006 by Decree of the President of Ukraine №945 / 200614 the memorable date - Day of honoring liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl NPP, which is celebrated annually on December 14, was established.
