The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk visited the construction site "ISF-2"

On 09.07.2015, as part of his working visit to the Exclusion zone, the object "Completion of the dry spent fuel storage facility (ISF-2)" was visited by the government delegation headed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

The object ISF-2 is designed to receive, prepare for storage and direct storage of spent fuel assemblies (SFA) and spent additional absorbers (SAA) stored at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

ISF-2 will provide acception for storage, preparation for storage and storage during 100 years more than 21,000 spent fuel assemblies RBMK-1000 at 2500 SFA performance per year.

Yatsenyuk summed up that the storage  should be put into operation completely in 2017.
